I never thought I would be one to blog....but here goes. I wanted to start putting my thoughts out there in hopes that maybe I could reach enough people to see that we need to do something with our education.
Our children are not receiving a quality education. I say this not because teachers are bad, there are some, but because our government has set up standards and guidelines that make schools, districts and states become glorified babysitters.
It is no longer possible to teach to "the top". There is barely a top. When the majority of your students can not read, what top are you teaching to?
I want to start this blog and post my daily thoughts from my classroom. Since there is only one week left before we go to Christmas break my rants should be quite comical.
I hope to educate not to offend.
